Trivet
is a word coming from the word tripod, or 3 legged and are a stand with
short feet, used under a hot dish on a table. Trivets made of aluminum are
extremely popular and are widely used for supporting cooking vessels in a
hearth. Not all aluminum trivets are 3 legged and they comes in a variety of
styles and sized, for use on a table or counter for protection and for
attractive placement of hot dishes or pans.
Kitchen trivets not only look superb, but they protect the valuable
surfaces from burns and water marks. The smaller aluminum trivets are ideal
for teapots and hot jugs and the larger for casserole dishes, hot plates and
larger jugs. Aluminium is relatively lightweight and inexpensive, compared
to other metals such as steel etc, making them the preferred choice for
making trivets. Hard-anodized aluminum trivets are also harder than steel
and extraordinarily durable. These are basically a fitting accompaniment to
the casual ambiance of a home or the formal settings of office functions.
